Learn to play piano in
The Piano Room

Just like sport, the piano is a skill for life and our aim at The Piano Room is to equip students with transferable skills that enable them to be better all round learners.

Our in-person and online piano lessons are relaxed and informal where the emphasis is on having fun. We combine both pratical and theory in each 30-minute lesson once a week.

We teach 30 piano lessons per academic year, split into 2 terms:
Term 1 - Sep to Dec - 15 lessons
Term 2 - Jan to May - 15 lessons

Our fee is €315 per term, payable in advance by cheque, cash or bank transfer, whichever is easiest for you.

That works out at €21 per half-hour piano lesson. Bargain! #piano4pupils4life!!

"Patricia’s online classes are great. With the lockdowns it was important to have that online lesson with her each week to keep up the momentum, and get her feedback on my playing. She has a lovely style of teaching and this wasn’t affected by the online setting."

Ann - adult student

"The online lesssons work very well for me as there is no additional time to get to the class. Patricia is very organised and the technology has worked very well. She has a very good handle on what works during the class and we became accustomed very quickly to it. I seem to focus better and because I am playing on my own instrument I am more comfortable playing it. I often stay playing after class if time permits because I am settled at the piano! A great option for learning to play that fits in around my work and family easily."

Mary - adult student

"Online is a great resource to have with the times we live in. It allows a lot of flexibility and it has worked extremely well for our family. It is so close to being physically in the Piano Room. Patricia makes it so easy and the class always flows so well."

Parent of two piano students

"I think Zoom lessons are great for me because I know that I'm not putting anyone at risk by going to into the Piano Room. I also like the online lessons because I don't have to go in the car to the Piano Room, which is saving our planet."

Arabelle - teenage student

"Zoom lessons work great for me because I can enjoy my lesson while playing my own piano at home knowing that Patricia can hear, see and guide me with my pieces. It’s like she’s in my house!"

Linda B - adult student

"I love learning the Theory of Music as it helps me understand the subject of music at school. I also enjoy recording my music as I can listen to myself play, in order to improve my pieces."

Aoibhin O'Donoghue

"I like learning new songs and preparing for exams, as this tests my skills at both theory and playing."

Robert Sullivan

"I love going to Piano, as it is fun. Once you learn to read music, you basically can play any song that you want."

Natalie Cheng

"I like playing and listening to Music. I love the sound of the Piano. I like studying the theory of music and sitting exams. The theory exam gives you time to think a lot about the answers."

Michael and Patrick Roche

"We have been studying piano for almost 10 years and are now in our senior grades. Individually, we play for Afternoon Tea in Trump Hotel, Doonbeg. It is a fantastic opportunity to play our own music repetoire creations - Plus we get Paid!"

Emer, Niamh, Shannon and Grace
